The Seat Leon would then take the relay from 2014 to 2019 and the Seat Arona landed its very first win in 2021.

Renault was the most popular carmaker in Spain without interruption from 1985 to 1994 and from 1996 to 2005, also topping the models charts with the Renault 5 in 1981 and 1982, the Renault 9 in 1983, the Renault 11 from 1984 to 1986, the Renault 19 in 1989 and 1990, the Clio in 1991 and 1992 and the Megane in 2004 and 2005.
The Ford Escort topped the Spanish charts in 1994 and 1995.
Ford would briefly take control of the brands ranking in 1995, placing the Escort at #1 in 1994 and 1995 and the Focus at #1 in 2002 and from 2006 to 2008. Citroen ended 10 connective years of reign by Renault in 2006, but placed the Xsara #1 in 1999.
