Czechia July 2026: Kia K4 almost in Top 10

The Czech new car market recedes -3.2% year-on-year in July to 20,147 sales, yet the YTD tally remains in frank positive at +4.5% to 149,957. Skoda (+4.9%) is the only gainer among the Top 9 brands and holds 35.9% of its home market vs. 36.7% year-to-date. Hyundai (-19.1%) and Toyota (-13%) leapfrog past Volkswagen (-4.4%) to rank #2 and #3 respectively. Kia (-12.3%) for its part is back up four spots on June to round out the Top 5, distancing Dacia (-30.4%), Ford (-18.1%) and Mercedes (-6.2%). Omoda Jaecoo (+351.7%) surges ahead to return inside the Top 10 for the second time in the past three months at #9. BYD (+627.8%), KGM (+191.9%), Suzuki (+38.8%) and Audi (+14.9%) also shine below.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+14.6%) easily stays on top at 8.5% share, distancing the Kodiaq (+12.9%) and Karoq (+11.3%), the latter snapping the #3 spot YTD off the Kamiq (-13.6%). The Scala (+13.2%) rounds out the Top 5 above the Fabia (-16.6%). The Hyundai i30 (-10.8%) is the best of the rest at #7 ahead of the Hyundai Tucson (-30.8%), Skoda Superb (-16.6%) and Toyota Corolla (-35.7%) all freefalling. The Kia K4 is the most popular recent launch, advancing four spots on last month to a record #11. The Skoda Elroq (+145.9%), Jaecoo 7 (+396.7%), VW Tayron (+127.7%) and VW Golf (+39.4%) follow and all surge YoY.
