Belgium June 2022: Kia (+32%), Peugeot (+30.9%) ignore market off -15.3%
Kia sales are up 32% year-on-year in Belgium in June.
34,814 new cars hit Belgian roads in June, that’s a -15.3% year-on-year drop on June 2021 which was already down -16.3% on the year prior. The H1 2022 tally stands at 195,387, down -15.9% on the same period in 2021. BMW (+4.9%) remains the best-selling carmaker in the country and improves its share to 11% vs. 10.1% so far this year. Peugeot (+30.9%) is the best performer in the Top 8 and climbs two spots on May to #2 overall. It dislodges Volkswagen (-31.1%) and Mercedes (-5%) just as Audi (-42.7%) struggles at #5. Kia (+32%), Toyota (+8.9%) and Renault (+3.4%) also outpace the market with positive results in the remainder of the Top 10. In contrast Citroen (-17.6%) and Dacia (-23.4%) are in trouble. Further down, Nissan (+25.9%), Tesla (+27.9%), DS (+219.7%), Porsche (+22.2%), Honda (+36.4%) and Polestar (+87.3%) make themselves noticed.
