Slight step back for the Dutch car market this month, down 2% to 44,455 registrations. The year-to-date total is however still up a healthy 16% at 453,970 units. In September the models ranking podium is identical to the year-to-date one: the VW Polo is in pole position with 1,874 sales and 4.2% share, followed by the Peugeot 107 at 1,665 units and 3.7% and the Renault Twingo with 1,503 sales and 3.4%.
Below the Toyota Aygo, #4 at 1,416 units and 3.2%, the new generation Kia Picanto impresses, up 6 spots on July to #5 with 1,203 sales and 2.7% share. It is #20 year-to-date at 1.4%. Other great performers this month include the Hyundai i10 up 7 spots to #9, the Opel Agila up 18 spots to #15 and the Mazda2 up 13 spots to #27.
