Taiwan October 2012: Luxgen5 Sedan lands at #10

The Taiwanese new car market is down 10% year-on-year in October to 28,092 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 302,637 units, down 4% on 2011. The Toyota Corolla tops the models ranking for the 17th month in a row with 2,503 sales and 8.9% while the Nissan Tiida ranks #2 for the third time in the last 5 months at 1,226 units and 4.4%, just above the Toyota Camry with 1,185 sales and the Toyota Yaris at 1,174 units, both models grabbing a 4.2% share.

Honda CR-V

With the new generation of the model now in Taiwanese dealerships, the Honda CR-V is up to a fantastic 5th place thanks to 1,137 sales and 4%, but the big event this month is the arrival of the local Luxgen5 Sedan directly in 10th position with 730 units and 2.6%. Luxgen’s other two models are the Luxgen7 SUV, #25 year-to-date in 2012, #12 over the Full Year 2011 and with a personal best of #5 in October 2010, and the Luxgen7 MPV, #20 in 2010 and #23 in 2011.
