Taiwan October 2011: Toyota Camry excels

Strong sales figures for the Taiwanese car market at 31,265 registrations this month, and it will continue until the end of the year which is traditionally a promotion-heavy period in the country. The Toyota Corolla is head and shoulders above the competition with an impressive 11.7% share and 3,657 sales compared to 9.6% and 30,297 year-to-date.
The Toyota Camry excels this month in 2nd place with 1,939 units and 6.2% share, it is #6 year-to-date at 12,252 sales and 3.9%. Note the Camry sold in Taiwan is the Chinese/Thai version (see above). The Nissan Tiida and Livina are back up to #3 and #4 respectively, both with a solid 4.7% share, the Toyota RAV4 is up to #7, making it no less than 5 Toyotas in the Top 7, and the Lexus CT delivers its best-ever month in Taiwan at #24 with 383 sales.
