Bulgaria July 2026: Dacia places Duster and Bigster inside Top 4

The Dacia Bigster is up to #4 in Bulgaria in July.

The Bulgarian new light vehicle market is up 5.3% year-on-year in July to 5,483 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 7.5% to 34,220. Keep in mind a significant part of these registrations (up to 30%) never see Bulgarian roads as they are directly reexported to other EU countries. This month Skoda (+9.3%) overtakes traditional leader Toyota (-2.1%) to snap the brands top spot with 10.2% share. This is the third time this year that Skoda is the most popular carmaker in the country after March and April.

Dacia (-0.4%) stays at #3 and climbs to #4 in the year-to-date charts, passing sister brand Renault (+14.2%) even though the latter performs much better YoY. BMW (+18.1%), Hyundai (+14.6%) and Ford (+8.8%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Dongfeng (+151.5%), Geely (+148.4%) and DFSK (+95.7%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (+64.5%) is a distant leader at 4.1% share, distancing the Dacia Duster (-7.8%) which was #1 a year ago in July 2025. The Hyundai Tucson (+4.5%) repeats at #3, a ranking it also holds year-to-date. The Dacia Bigster (+169.1%) is up 13 spots on June to #4 while the Skoda Octavia (+2.3%) rounds out the Top 5. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+80%) is also in great shape at #10 while the DFSK Forthing T5 Evo (+138.5%) ranks at #11.
