Slovenia February 2025: Renault Clio #1, Forthing T5 Evo just misses out on Top 10 finish
The Forthing T5 Evo ranks at a record 11th place in February.
4,372 new cars found a buyer in Slovenia in February, a 5.4% year-on-year uptick. The year-to-date volume is up a solid 7.6% to 9,387. Volkswagen (+45.1%) surges ahead to 15.2% share vs. 16% year-to-date while Renault (+32.4%) overtakes Skoda (+6%) to 2nd place but still ranks #3 year-to-date. Hyundai (+24.1%) and Kia (+23.9%) also impress and round out the Top 5. Mercedes (+124%) and Ford (+86.3%) shoot up in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Chinese carmaker Forthing (+3133.3%!) lifts 12 spots on January to a record 14th place with 2.2% share. Tesla craters -89.7%.
Model-wise, the Renault Clio (+78.2%), Captur (+95.1%) and VW Golf (+135.7%) all vastly beat the market to compose the podium. The Skoda Octavia (-29.5%), #1 a year ago, freefalls to #4 ahead of the Skoda Kodiaq (+67.6%) in outstanding shape. The VW Tiguan (+64.9%) and Hyundai Tucson (+47%) also make themselves noticed below, just as January’s leader the Skoda Kamiq (+25%) falls to #8 despite a year-on-year uptick. The Forthing T5 Evo (+9100%) surges 43 spots on last month to #11, missing out on an extraordinary Top 10 finish for just one sale.
