Slovenia July 2026: Locally produced Renault Twingo best-seller

The Renault Twingo is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in July.

5,743 new cars found a buyer in Slovenia in July, a splendid 12.4% year-on-year improvement. After seven months, the YTD tally is up 16.6% to 41,086. Volkswagen (+1.9%) misses out on the market’s euphoria but remains a distant leader in the brands charts at 14.1% share. Skoda (+25.3%) more than doubles the overall growth rate to reach 11.1% share, distancing a softer Renault (+9.5%). Toyota (+32.1%) and Peugeot (+20.3%) also shine and round out the Top 5. Below, Leapmotor (+626.1%) returns to a record 12th place for the second time in the past three months, with Cupra (+178%) and Fiat (+137.1%) also standing out. Newcomer Omoda breaks into the Top 20 for the first time at #20 and 1.4% share.

Model-wise, we have a surprise on top: produced locally, the new Renault Twingo E-Tech storms into a distant lead with 3.6% share for its 4th month in market and up from #8 in June. The monthly win is a feat that the previous generations of the model never achieved. Far below at 2.3% share is its stablemate the Renault Clio (-56.5%) completely imploding but still #1 year-to-date. The Skoda Octavia (-34.4%) is also in freefall but holds onto the #2 spot YTD. The Kamiq (+12.3%) and Kodiaq (+60.9%) make it three Skodas in the Top 5 for the month. The Opel Frontera (+56.5%) cracks the Top 10 for the first time at #6 vs. a previous best of #18 last March. Notice also the Skoda Elroq (+300%) and VW ID.7 (+273.1%) in the remainder of the Top 10.
