134,484 new cars hit Greek roads in 2023, a 27.7% year-on-year surge. Toyota (+10.6%) conserves the top spot in the brands charts but sees its market share fall from 14.1% to 12.2%. Opel (+78.8%) skyrockets from #5 and 5.5% share to #2 and 7.7%, while Peugeot (+12.1%) stays at #3. Hyundai (+8.3%) drops two spots to #4. Citroen (+119.5%) manages the largest year-on-year lift in the Top 20 and climbs 6 ranks to #5 while Volkswagen (+9.4%) is down two to #6. Suzuki (+72.3%), Kia (+39.8%) and BMW (+39.4%) also comfortably beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Tesla (+212.6%), Cupra (+199%) and Mazda (+111.1%) stand out. Launched in July, MG lands directly at #27.

We have a big event atop the models charts: the Opel Corsa (+84.7%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year and ends 10 consecutive years of domination by the Toyota Yaris (-7.8%) down to #2. It topped the ranking in January, March, April and May. The Opel Corsa also led annual Greek sales in 2007, 2011 and 2012, just before the 10-year stretch of the Yaris. The Citroen C3 (+84.4%) is also very dynamic at #3 (#1 in February), with the Toyota Yaris Cross (+70.8%) staying at #4 despite a robust gain (#1 in June). The Peugeot 208 (+19.3%) falls three spots to #5. The Suzuki Vitara (+84.1%) soars 7 spots to #6 and ranked #1 in October, November and December. Other great gains are delivered by the Peugeot 2008 (+73.9%) up 10 ranks to #9, the Fiat Panda (+64.2%) up 7 to #8 (#1 in July and August) and the Hyundai i20 (+55.7%) up one to #7.
