Croatia July 2022: Volkswagen up to 16.6% share, places three models in Top 5, market dips -5%
The VW Taigo is up to #5 in Croatia in July.
5,390 new car hit Croatian roads in July, that’s a -5% year-on-year decline leading to a year-to-date tally off -9% to 28,025 units. Volkswagen (+14.6%) posts a very solid month to return to the pole position it holds year-to-date with 16.6% of the market vs. 11.4% so far this year. Skoda (+50%) does even better to land at #2 with 11.6% share vs. 9.3% YTD. Dacia (-15%) and Opel (-49.2%) underperform while Toyota (+60.8%) surges ahead at #5. Ford (+47%), Renault (+46%) and Peugeot (+9.9%) also manage positive scores in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Nissan (+159.6%), Cupra (+56.3%), Mitsubishi (+41.2%) and Land Rover (+17.4%) stand out.
In the models ranking, the Skoda Octavia (+147.4%) more than doubles its sales year-on-year to repeat at #1 with 7.1% share and snap the YTD top spot as a result. The Dacia Duster (-10.2%) remains in 2nd place for the month and drops to #2 YTD. Volkswagen places three models in the Top 5 this month: the T-Cross (-27.9%), Tiguan (+198.3%) and the new Taigo. The Opel Mokka (+647.6%), Toyota Yaris (+129%), Corolla (+115.7%) and Renault Clio (+73.6%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Notice also the Peugeot 208 (+531.8%), Suzuki S-Cross (+183.3%) and Ford Ecosport (#14) making it into the July Top 20.
