Kia Sportage sales roar up 161.9% year-on-year in November.
The Ukrainian new car market steps up 21.9% year-on-year in November to 8,678 registrations, leading to a year-to-date volume up 22.6% to 92,742 units. Kia (+145.8%) spectacularly takes the lead of the brands ranking with a whopping 14.4% are vs. 8.8% so far this year. It dislodges Toyota (-14.3%) and Renault (-24.8%) both in dire straits. Chery (+277.8%) is almost up 4-fold year-on-year to repeat at a record 4th place with 7.1% share, a new record eclipsing the 6.1% hit last month. Mitsubishi (+111.1%) also more than doubles its sales year-on-year in 5th place. In fact, all remaining Top 10 brands bar Suzuki (+13.9%) outpace the market: BMW (+116.1%), Nissan (+91.6%), Hyundai (+58.5%) and Peugeot (+32.9%) all post fantastic scores.
Over in the models ranking, the Kia Sportage (+161.9%) soars to a record 13.3% share and cements its newly acquired year-to-date pole position at 6.9% share. The podium is unchanged on October with the Renault Duster (-19.8%) in 2nd place and the Toyota RAV4 (-42.1%) in third. In fact, the Top 6 best-sellers are all SUVs this month: the Nissan X-Trail (+221.5%), Chery Tiggo 4 and Mitsubishi Outlander (+89.8%) follow. The Peugeot 301 (+95.8%) is up 14 spots on last month to land at a splendid 7th place vs. #18 YTD, with the Suzuki SX4 (+63.5%) also outracing the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, notice the BMW X5 (+151.7%), Chery Tiggo 2 (+84.5%) and Toyota Highlander (+256.7%) also scoring sensational year-on-year upticks. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro (#16) tops recent launches above the Citroen C4 (#36), Chevrolet Cobalt (#37), Kia Rio X (#48), Hyundai Venue (#50) and MG HS (#53).
