Bulgaria June 2021: Peugeot (+130.6%), Dacia (+125%) help lift market up 39.9%

The Peugeot 2008 ranks #8 in Bulgaria in June.

New light vehicle sales in Bulgaria shoot up 39.9% year-on-year in June to 3.658 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 31.8% to 16.139. Dacia (+125%) more than doubles its sales to cement its domination at 15.5% share vs. 13.8% so far this year. Renault (+18.3%) is a lot more timid in 2nd place but still manages a 11.3% share vs. 10.1% YTD. Peugeot (+130.6%) scores the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 15 and lifts five spots on May to land on the third step of the podium, distancing Toyota (+98.1%) also in great shape whereas Skoda (-29.4%) suffers. BMW (+70.7%), Nissan (+51.3%) and Kia (+50%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Fiat (+242.9%), Seat (+200%), Suzuki (+160.9%), Mazda (+111.1%), Volvo (+84.6%), Land Rover (+71.4%) and Audi (+71.2%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Dacia Dokker confirms its domination at 7.4% share vs. 6.9% year-to-date, with the Renault Clio overtaking the Nissan Qashqai to snap the 2nd spot overall. The Dacia Sandero stays at a brilliant 4th place, distancing the Renault Master up two ranks on May to #5 and Dacia Duster up four to #6. Peugeot justifies its large year-on-year gain with the 208 up 24 spots on last month to #7 and the 2008 up 41 to #8. The Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla round out the Top 10. Notice also the Peugeot 308 up 33 ranks to #14, the Peugeot 3008 up 7 to #17 and the Hyundai Kona up 24 to #20.
