Croatia November 2020: Opel, Seat, Jeep surge in market down -23.6%

First Croatian Top 20 finish for the Jeep Compass, directly at #6.

The Croatian new car market endures an 8th consecutive double-digit drop in November at -23.6% year-on-year to just 2.656 registrations, leading to a year-to-date volume down -42.3% to 34.006 units. Volkswagen (-43.3%) is hit hard but remains in the lead for 12 units above Skoda (-13.6%) resisting much better. Three carmakers blissfully ignore the challenging context in the Top 10: Opel soars 58.4%, Seat is up 61.4% and Jeep up 2550%. Dacia (-3%) and Kia (-14%) manage to keep their losses well below the market rate.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-22.4%) easily retains the market lead with 6.5% share, it distances the VW Polo (+66.2%), Opel Corsa (+281.5%) and Dacia Duster (+56.1%) all in outstanding shape. The Seat Leon is up 13 spots on last month to land at #5, its highest Croatian ranking since August 2016 (#3) while both the Jeep Compass and Mitsubishi Space Star break into the Croatian Top 20 for the very first time at #6 and #11 respectively. Other great performers include the Skoda Kodiaq (#14), Nissan Juke (#18) and Jeep Renegade (#20).
