The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is now #1 year-to-date in Hungary.

5 months out of 5 in positive so far in 2019 for Hungarian new car sales with May up a solid 10.4% year-on-year to 14.207 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 7.8% to 60.962. Brand leader and local producer Suzuki (-16.4%) is in dire straits however but easily retains the #1 spot ahead of Skoda (+27.6%) in excellent shape in contrast. Ford (+3.9%) rounds up the podium ahead of Opel (+33.9%) and Dacia (+34.5%) both tripling the market growth. Renault (+66.7%), Kia (+23.7%) and Hyundai (+17%) also do very well in the remainder of the Top 10. The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is the best-selling model in the country for the third time in the past 4 months, toppling the Suzuki Vitara (-57.2%) to also earn the YTD top spot. The Opel Corsa (+178.2%), Renault Clio (+108.8%), Skoda Octavia (+70.1%), Dacia Duster (+44.7%), Fiat 500 (+34.6%) and Ford Tourneo Custom (#7) also post fantastic scores.
