Netherlands June 2017: Nissan Qashqai surprise leader
The Nissan Qashqai is the best-selling model in the Netherlands in June.

Dutch new car sales slow down their growth in June, up 5% year-on-year to 41.309 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 17% to 226.509 units. Volkswagen holds onto the brands top spot thanks to a 21% sales surge, but only has a 41-unit advantage over Renault (+3%) while Opel (+22%), Peugeot (+19%) and Toyota (+42%) all surge in the Top 5. Skoda (+20%), Seat (+23%), Mini (+27%), Dacia (+33%), Porsche (+60%), Tesla (+72%) and Alfa Romeo (+141%) impress. Model-wise, the Nissan Qashqai is up 10 spots on May to top the Dutch charts for the first time since March 2016 thanks to deliveries up 48% just as the facelift is entering dealerships. The VW Golf (+38%) and Opel Karl (+150%) also post spectacular gains on the podium. Further down, the Renault Mégane (+91%) outsells the Renault Clio (-35%) which still manages to hold onto the YTD pole position. The Peugeot 3008 is up 42-fold on the previous generation in June 2016 ,the Skoda Octavia is up 40%, the Renault Scénic up 940% and the VW Tiguan up 170%. The Opel Crossland X lands directly at #78.
