Home-grown behemoth Fiat frankly outpaces the market with sales up an outstanding 33% to 23.440 and 21.4% share, distancing Volkswagen (+13%), Renault (+33%), Ford (+25%) and Peugeot (+41%). Model-wise, below the Fiat Panda (+22%) and Lancia Ypsilon (+24%) both showing great legs, the Fiat 500X shows it is here to stay at the highest level, lodging a second consecutive podium ranking at #3 and beating its market share record at 3.5% thanks to 3.832 sales. With the Fiat 500L up 32% to 4th place and the Fiat 500 up 49% to 8th, it’s a great month for the 500 family as a whole: up 126% year-on-year to 9.910 sales and 9.1% market share. Interestingly, this coincides with the gearing up of the Tipo nameplate, breaking back into the Top 50 at #45, and the imploding of the Punto, down 46% to a worst-ever 2.2% share and #10 ranking this month.

BMW X1 Italy 2015The BMW X1 almost lands into the Top 30 this month: a fantastic performance.
