After an 8% slump in January, new car sales in Greece are back into frankly positive territory in February at +12% year-on-year to 4,894 registrations, making the year-to-date total edge back in the black at +0.1% and 10,742 units. Toyota keeps the lead with 13.3% share while Nissan jumps 5 spots on January to cross the 10% share milestone at 10.9% thanks to 531 sales, Volkswagen remains third, Opel drops two ranks to #4 and Peugeot and Ford are immobile at #5 and #6 respectively. Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris cements its leadership thanks to another strong month at 7.8% share, followed by the Opel Corsa and VW Polo like in January, year-to-date and over the FY2014. The Nissan Micra shoots back up 16 spots on last month to #4, the Peugeot 208 holds itself at markedly higher levels than a year ago at #5 (+652% year-to-date!), the Mercedes GLA is up 25 ranks to #19 and the Fiat 500X already breaks into the Greek Top 50 at #50 for only its 2nd appearance in the ranking.
