Only pick-up trucks figures are available for now, this will be updated as data comes through. The Ford F-Series is now in unchartered territory, up 9% to 7,868 sales which lifts its year-to-date total to an unheard-of 114,729 units, a new all-time annual sales record for any vehicle in Canada and there is still one month to go before the year ends! The Dodge RAM reclaims the 2nd place it holds year-to-date thanks to 5,761 sales, ahead of the Honda Civic at 5,701 units.
Cadillac CTS. Canadian Cadillac sales are up 53% year-on-year in November.
Nice move for the Dodge Grand Caravan, back up 5 spots on October and 12% year-on-year to #4 with 3,756 sales, but the best performer in the Top 10 is the Mazda3, up 34% on November 2012 thanks to the new model to a fantastic 5th place at 3,679 units, the nameplate’s best ranking in Canada since August 2011… Brand-wise, the leading trio this month is identical to the year-to-date ranking: Ford leads the way with 19,100 sales, followed by Toyota up 9% to 13,953 and Honda up 13% to 12,258. Notice Nissan up 20% to #7, Mazda up 13% to #9, Jeep up 34% to #13, Subaru and BMW up 22% to #14 and #15 respectively, Mitsubishi up 16% to #17, Buick up 22% to #22 and Cadillac up 53% to #23.
Further down the ranking, there are two pieces of big news this month in Canada: the Dodge Dart which had so far received a lukewarm welcome in both the US and Canada, finally takes off here: up 39 spots on October to land at a best-ever #23, its first time inside the Canadian monthly Top 30 with its previous-best ranking in the country being #37 last July. The other new entrant in the Top 30 this month is the Jeep Cherokee, confirming its design has definitely not kept customers away from Jeep dealerships: it is up 136 ranks on last month to land directly at #26 with 1,285 sales for its first full month in market, even bettering the #35 it achieved in the US. Notice also the Nissan Pathfinder up a further 6 spots to #34 and the BMW X5 up 17 to #55.
