Thailand Pick-ups September 2013: Chevrolet Colorado shines

As is the tradition on BSCB we have a look at the Thai pick-up ranking each month. Why? Because Thailand is the 1 ton pick-up factory of the world and it’s always interesting to see how these fare ‘at home’. And for now they are faring rather poorly, with September pick-up sales in Thailand down a harsh 27% year-on-year to 36,068 units. The Toyota Hilux is very close to its year-to-date level at 38.6% share of the segment vs. 38.4% but the Isuzu D-Max falls to 28.5% vs. 34.8%. The Ford Ranger over performs at 7.3% vs. 5.1% but remains #4 while the Chevrolet Colorado sells 2,425 units for a 6.7% market share vs. 4.7% year-to-date and climbs to #5 overall.
