Over the first half of October, the Greek new car market is back into troubled waters, down 11% year-on-year to 1,676 registrations which brings the year-to-date total to 45,689 units, down 4% on 2012. Leader last month, Opel falls back to earth at #4 and 8.9% share, very close to its year-to-date level (#3 and 9.7%). Instead, Toyota reclaims the pole position it holds in 2013 with 242 sales and 14.4%, well ahead its year-to-date level of 10.9%. It is followed by Hyundai at 12.9% (vs. 7.3% year-to-date) and Volkswagen at 12.4% (vs. 10.5%).
