74,096 new vehicles (Passenger Cars and LCVs) found a buyer in Turkey in June, bringing the year-to-date total to 381,743 units halfway through 2013. The Fiat Linea confirms it is definitely Turkey’s darling, ranking #1 for the third month in a row and the 12th time in the last 17 months with 4,172 sales and 5.6% share, reinforcing its 2013 YTD leadership at 19,082 units and 5% and way ahead of the #2 the Renault Fluence at 2,822 units and 3.8%. The Ford Focus sedan is up 5 spots on May to round up the podium with 2,435 sales and 3.3%.
The next 3 models are also in great shape: the Ford Connect is up to #4 at 2,350 units and 3.2%, the Opel Corsa is up 5 to #5 with 2,265 sales and 3.1% and the Renault Clio hatchback is back up 9 to #6 at 1,922 units and 2.6%. Reversely, the new gen Renault Symbol has not stuck (yet?) with Turkish consumers, already down 3 ranks on last month to #7 at 2.4% share but still #2 year-to-date at 3.3%. Further down, the BMW 3 Series is up 16 spots to #17, the Renault Clio SW up 18 to #26, Renault Captur up 27 to #42, Mercedes CLA up 9 to #47 – these last two models spending their first month inside the Turkish Top 50.
