Turkey April 2012: Fiat Linea confirms total domination

Turkish new car sales continue at a much lower level than 2012, down 15% year-on-year in April to 45,645 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 143,181 units, down 19% on 2011. The Fiat Linea is now totally established a Turkey’s new favourite model: it dominates the ranking for the third consecutive time thanks to 2,913 sales and 6.4% and reinforces its leadership year-to-date at 8,710 units and 6.1%.
The Renault Fluence is up one spot to #2 with 2,715 sales and 5.9%, passing its little sister the Renault Symbol only for the 2nd time ever after last January. The Fluence is now also #2 year-to-date at 8,044 units and 5.6%, only 6 units above the Symbol.
Volkswagen has a great month in Turkey: the Jetta is up 5 spots on March to #5 with 1,447 sales and 3.2%, the Golf is up 8 ranks to #7 at 1,397 units and 3.1% and the Passat is up 6 to #8 with 1,284 sales and 2.8%. Notice also the Hyundai Accent Era back in the Top 20 at #13 and the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan up to #19 at 727 units and 1.6%.
