Turkey January 2012: Renault Fluence hits top spot for first time

Traditionally delayed, January figures are finally in and it’s a weak start of the year for the Turkish car market, down 29% on January 2011 to 21,077 registrations. For the first time since its launch in November 2009 the Renault Fluence tops the Turkish models ranking with 1,449 sales and 6.9% market share, its strongest ever. The Renault Symbol, 2011′s leader, ranks #2 this month at 1,291 units and 6.1%.
Dacia Duster
The Fiat Linea, #1 in December, falls to a still very respectable third place with 894 sales and 4.2%, followed by the VW Jetta and Polo, both in outstanding shape and up 5 spots on December at 4% and 3.8% share respectively. The Hyundai i20, up 8 ranks on last month to #7, Renault Megane (+4) and VW Passat (+15) also shine. The Hyundai Accent Blue is up 2 spots to #11, the Dacia Duster is up to a best-ever 13th position at 405 units and 1.9% and the Dacia Sandero is up to #15.
