Slovakia February 2012: Kia Cee’d back on podium

The Slovak car market is up a very solid 12% year-on-year in February to 5,370 registrations, bringing the 2012 year-to-date total to 10,171 units, up 10% on 2011. The Skoda Octavia is #1 for the 6th month in a row with 672 sales and 12.5% and is followed as usual by the Skoda Fabia at 506 units and 9.4%.
While the new generation of the model is being unveiled, the Kia Cee’d jumps back onto the podium for the second time in the last 3 months with 163 sales and 3%. The VW Polo is up 5 spots on January to a brilliant 4th place with 2.4% share, while the Dacia Duster is up 10 ranks to #5 and 2.1% of the market. The Skoda Roomster improves on an already outstanding January score, up 2 spots to #6 with 1.9%, while the BMW X6 is up 21 ranks to an excellent #31.
