Taiwan June 2012: New gen Honda Civic up to #11

Taiwanese car sales are down 7% year-on-year in June to 30,278 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 185,898 units, down 1% on 2011. The Toyota Corolla celebrates its 13th consecutive month atop the models ranking with 2,750 sales and 9.1% share, it is of course #1 year-to-date with 18,465 units and 9.9%. The Nissan Tiida is up 4 spots on May to #2 with 1,366 sales and 4.5% but is still only #4 year-to-date vs. #2 in 2011. The Toyota Camry rounds up the podium at 1,332 units and 4.4% and stays #2 year-to-date with 9,440 sales and 5.1%.

Solid month for the Toyota Wish at #4 and the Nissan Livina at #5, while the Mitsubishi Colt Plus is up 4 spots to #6 and the Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis is up 7 to #7 at 949 units and 3.1%. Thanks to the new generation, the Honda Civic is back up to #11 with 703 sales and 2.3%, whereas the Hyundai Elantra is up to a brilliant 13th place.
