Greece 2008: Opel Astra, Toyota Yaris & Auris most popular

Down 10% year-on-year, the Greek car market totals 267,061 registrations in 2008. Faithful to its very unstable tradition, the models ranking is completely reshuffled again this year: the Opel Astra, already #1 in Greece in 1999 and 2001, is the best selling car in the country this year in spite of a 10% drop with 8,386 sales and 3.1% market share.
Toyota Auris
The Toyota Yaris gains 3 spots to reach an outstanding 2nd spot with 7,983 sales and 3%, just above the Toyota Auris at 7,828 sales and the Opel Corsa at 7,746 sales (both at 2.9%). The VW Golf and Ford Focus each drop 2 spots to 5th and 6th places respectively and the all-new Hyundai i10 lands directly in 7th position with 5,881 sales and 2.2%. It was even #1 in June and August.
