Taiwan July 2026: Foxtron Bria best-selling BEV

The Foxtron Bria is the most popular BEV at home in July.

38,657 new cars hit Taiwanese roads in July, up 8.9% year-on-year, however keep in mind July 2025 was a particularly bad month at -22.3% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally after 7 months adds up to 240,935 units, up 2.8% over the same period in 2025. The Top 4 brands all outpace the market: Toyota is up 14.1% to 33.1% share vs. 31.2% year-to-date, Lexus is up 36.5% to 8.4% vs. 7.3%, Honda up 17.8% to 6% of the market vs. 5.8% and Mercedes up 10.1% to 5% vs. 4.8%. In contrast CMC (-12%) is in difficulty and rounds out the Top 5, climbing to #4 year-to-date as it passes Tesla (-99.4%) that sold just 8 units in July. vs. 4,369 in June. Kia (+72.2%), Mitsubishi (+49.9%) and BMW (+18.4%) also impress below.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Corolla Cross (-6%) and RAV4 (+153.6%) are on top as usual, and are joined by the Toyota Yaris Cross (+23.8%) on the podium. The Lexus NX (+85.5%) is also very dynamic at #4, up four spots on June. The CMC J Space (-2.1%) and Toyota Town Ace (-24%) are in difficulty below, while the Honda HR-V is up 20.4% and five ranks to #7. The Ford Territory is the best-selling recent launch at #8, followed by the Mitsubishi Xforce at #16. Notice also the Kia Sportage (+238.8%), Toyota Camry (+200.7%) and Suzuki Jimny (+191.9%) all posting sensational gains. Although ranking only #27, the new local Foxtron Bria is the best-selling BEV in the country in the absence of Tesla.
