The Chevrolet Joy is the best-selling model in Colombia in April.
The Colombian new vehicle market accelerates 8.4% year-on-year in April to 20,637 registrations, leading to a year-to-date volume up 2.7% to 78,091. Chevrolet (+17.4%) repeats at #1 thanks to a weak Renault (-12.6%) but the latter holds onto the YTD top spot for just 205 units. Toyota (+102.1%) shoots up year-on-year but remains in 4th place above Mazda (-24.7%) rallying back up four spots on March but still in deep trouble. Below, Volkswagen (+88.8%), Suzuki (+43.9%), Kia (+38.1%) and Foton (+32.4%) all sport stellar progressions whereas Nissan (-49.7%) crumbles down.
Model-wise, the Chevrolet Joy (6.2% share) is up four spots on March to lead the charts outright, while the Mazda CX-30 (5.8%), leader over the Full Year 2021, is back up 9 spots on last month to #2. Chevrolet also places the Onix (4.6%) at #3 but #1 year-to-date. The Renault Sandero (3.6%) is up six ranks to #4 ahead of the Toyota Corolla Cross (+7) and Kia Picanto (-3). The Renault Duster (3.1%) is down one to #7 and is followed by the VW Gol (3%), Renault Stepway (2.7%) and last month’s leader the Suzuki Swift (2.6%).
