Bulgaria April 2020: Dacia (-69.8%) repeats at #1 in market down -74%

Over 500 Dacia Dokker have found a buyer in Bulgaria so far in 2020.

Bulgaria was under a COVID-19 public health emergency during the entire month of April, and as such new car sales in the country implode -74% year-on-year to 1.078 units, pulling the year-to-date volume down -40.5% to 8.594. Dacia (-69.8%) repeats as the #1 brand in Bulgaria with 15.7% share, also snapping the YTD top spot off Skoda (-77.8%) down to #5 this month. Renault (-50%) resists particularly well and steps up to #2 above Toyota (-59.7%) and Volkswagen (-61.4%). BMW (-36.8%) posts the best hold in the Top 10, with Kia (-66.4%) and Mercedes (-67.7%) also ok but Ford (-87%) and Peugeot (-83.5%) almost disappear. Further down, Porsche (-42.9%), Land Rover (-44.4%), Isuzu (-46.4%), Mitsubishi (-47.1%), Hyundai (-54.1%) and Audi (-61.5%) resist somewhat.
