The Nissan Versa breaks its Mexican share record for the 2nd straight month.
New light vehicle sales in Mexico endure a 29th year-on-year drop in the past 30 months in November at -7% to 124.819 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -7.6% year-to-date at 1.187.474. After ending a streak of 20 consecutive months losing share in October, market leader Nissan (-10.5%) is back to losing more ground than the market for the 21st time in the past 22 months in November, yet easily retaining the top spot at 20.4% share. In fact Chevrolet (-16.6%) and Volkswagen (-12.3%) lose even more ground on the podium. Below Toyota (-1%) back to #4, Kia (+0.3%) edges up to break its all-tome volume record at 8.533 units, 30 more than a year ago which was its previous all-time best. Once again Renault (+20.5%) is the best performer in the Top 10, with Mazda (+3.8%) and Hyundai (+3.5%) also in positive. Below, Volvo (+106.1%), Isuzu (+101.3%), JAC (+44.1%), Subaru (+43.7%), Ram (+33.5%), Peugeot (+19.7%), Jaguar (+18.8%), Lincoln (+14.1%), Porsche (+11.3%) and BMW (+10.9%) all impress with double-digit gains.
