Israel June 2019: Toyota Corolla snaps YTD lead off Hyundai Ioniq

The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling vehicle in Israel so far in 2019.

Thanks to our partnership with cartube.co.il, we can share with you today complete models and brands data for Israel in June and H1. New car sales in the country continue to struggle: after falling -17.1% in May they drop -6.9% in June to 21.838 units, pulling the year-to-date volume down -3.1% to  158.082. Hyundai (+11.7%) can breathe a sigh of relief as it returns to frank domination of the brands charts at 18.1% share vs. 16.7% YTD and 14.7% for #2 Toyota (+45.6%) once again in outstanding shape. Below are Kia (-3.5%), Skoda (-6.6%) and Mitsubishi (+17.5%), the only other double-digit gainer in the Top 12. Chevrolet (-46.9%), Nissan (-42.6%), Mazda (-42.3%), Renault (-26.4%) and Suzuki (-11.3%) all struggle mightily. Isuzu (+116.7%), Land Rover (+94.4%), Porsche (+83.3%), MG (+56.7%), Audi (+54.1%), Jeep (+38.6%) and Mini (+18.2%) shine further down.

Over in the models ranking, the Toyota Corolla is lifted up a spectacular 105.8% by the new generation, zooming past the Hyundai Ioniq (+8.9%) to snap the overall top spot, with the Kia Picanto (+17.9%) and Hyundai i10 (+30.9%) both very dynamic also and rounding out the Top 4. The Hyundai Tucson (-15.6%), Kia Niro (+4.2%) and Sportage (-25.1%) make it 6 Koreans in the Top 7 but the best performer in the Top 10 is to be found at #10: the Toyota RAV4 (+149.5%) also pulled up by a new generation. The Kia Stonic (#19) is the best-selling new launch ahead of the Hyundai Accent (#72), Lexus UX (#114) and Audi Q8 (#152).
