Chile January 2019: Mitsubishi (+45.2%), Kia (+23.1%), Chevrolet (+16.7%) shine in record market

New vehicle sales in Chile edge up 3.5% year-on-year in January to 36.543 registrations, a new record for the month. Chevrolet (+16.7%), Kia (+23.1%) and Suzuki (+7.3%) mean the podium consistently outpaces the market this month distancing a stable Nissan whereas Toyota (-11.8%) and Hyundai (-21.4%) struggle just below. Mitsubishi (+45.2%) posts the largest gain in the Top 18, with DS (+266.7%), MG (+143.7%), Opel (+86.1%), Maxus (+72.1%), Porsche (+64%), Mercedes (+55.3%), Changan (+42.1%), JAC (+30.3%), the Chrysler Group (+27.3%), ZNA (+22.5%), Dongfeng (+20.7%), Volkswagen (+17.4%) and the Great Wall Group (+15.5%) excelling further down. As a whole, Chinese manufacturers advance 16.7% to 13.8% share.
