Croatia September 2018: Renault (+72%), Opel (+55%) keep market up

The Megane (+189%) shoots up to #2 in Croatia, helping Renault up 72%.

Thanks to our partnership with Promocija Plus we can share with you today September Croatian data. New car sales edge up 3.9% year-on-year to 2.906 units, the slowest month of 2018 so far but showing no hangover from pre-WLTP August, in the process lifting the year-to-date tally up 20.6% to 50.073. Volkswagen (-24%) is in difficulty but holds onto the brands pole position ahead of Renault (+72%), Skoda (-36%) and Opel (+55%) showing very different fortunes. Jeep (+525%), Mitsubishi (+300%), Volvo (+133%), Fiat (+72%), Kia (+51%), Citroen (+47%) and Ford (+37%) also impress. Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-58%) remains best-seller despite a vertiginous fall, the Renault Megane (+189%) is up seven spots on August to #2 while the Ford Focus (+113%) and Opel Insignia (+207%) both jump from outside the August Top 20 directly to #3 and #4 respectively, fleet sales without a doubt. Other great performers include the VW Polo (+272%), Renault Captur (+145%), Dacia Sandero (+77%), Citroen C3 (+59%), Citroen C-Elysee (#12) and Mazda3 (#15) while the Skoda Karoq makes its very first appearance inside the Croatian Top 20 directly at #11.
