Uruguay October 2017: Volkswagen back on top in market up 14.8%

New car sales in Uruguay are up 14.8% year-on-year in October to 4.379 units, leading to the year-to-date volume up 24.4% to 43.369. After dropping to #2 in September, Volkswagen reclaims the pole position it holds year-to-date thanks to deliveries up a market-beating 21% to 14.9% share. This is however the weakest gain in the Top 4, with Fiat up 77%, Chevrolet up 244% and Suzuki up 22%… Reversely Renault tumbles down 26% in 5th place, distancing Nissan up 57%. Citroen (+34%) also shines in the Top 10. Below, notice FAW (+46%), Honda (+445%), Great Wall (+33%), Subaru (+155%) and Haima (+600%). Overall, Chinese carmakers underperform with a 5% year-on-year drop to 11% share vs. 11.3% so far in 2017.
