Chile October 2017: Toyota leads market up 17.9%
Toyota is the best-selling carmaker in Chile in October.

The Chilean new car market is up a splendid 17.9% year-on-year in October to 30.114 registrations, resulting in a year-to-date volume up 19% to 291.681 units. Toyota climbs one step on September to land in pole position thanks to deliveries up 48% to 8.9% share vs. 7.6% year-to-date (+32%). It is followed this month by Nissan up six ranks on last month and a very solid 37% on October 2016. Chevrolet (+4%) remains third and holds onto the YTD top spot, Kia (-1%) is up one spot to #4 but Hyundai is down 7% and four ranks to #5. Inside the Top 10, Mazda (+30%), Peugeot (+37%) and Mitsubishi (+48%) shine while beyond, Volkswagen (+59%), Fiat (+38%), Chery (+97%), Honda (+52%), BAIC (+138%) and Maxus (+759%) make themselves noticed. Chinese carmakers are up a market-beating 39% to 10.1% share.
