New car sales in Hungary slow down their growth pace in April at just +7.7% year-on-year to 8.681 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 19% to 33.025 after four months. Market leader Suzuki almost double the overall growth at +14% with the Vitara (+21%) solidly installed in the models pole position and the SX4 S-Cross remaining in 4th place. Skoda (-1%), Ford (+11%) and Opel (+3%) follow but the real hero this month is Toyota up 54% in 5th place, placing the Yaris in 9th position and also without a doubt benefitting from the gearing up of the C-HR. Renault also impresses with a 30% gain to 6th place and the Clio breaking into the year-to-date Top 10 at #9 while Dacia improves by a very impressive 37% with the Duster up 24%.
