Bulgaria April 2016: Renault now #1 manufacturer year-to-date

Bulgarian new car sales are up 9% year-on-year to an estimated 2.693 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 8% to 9.637. Thanks to volumes up a whopping 55%, Renault leads the brands ranking for the second month in a row and overtakes low-cost sister brand Dacia year-to-date to lead as well with 1.233 sales (+19%) vs. 1.227 (+6%) for Dacia. The Renault Group thus holds 25.5% of the Bulgarian market so far in 2016. Ford is up 75% to #3, Toyota up 24% to #5 and Suzuki up 50% to #18. The Renault Clio takes the lead of the models ranking with 6.3%, outselling the year-to-date leader the Dacia Dokker (5.4%) with the Ford Fiesta rounding up the podium. The Renault Captur is up 7 spots on March to #5, the Dacia Sandero up 9 to #7, the VW Polo up 35 to #9 and the Opel Astra up 21 to #13.
