The Hungarian new passenger car market is up 12% year-on-year in November to 6.604 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total up 14% to 70.255 units. Skoda overtakes Opel to become the most popular carmaker with 11.2% share vs. 10.3% for Opel, only three units above Suzuki this month (also at 10.3%) but retaining its year-to-date lead at 11.4% vs. 10.2% for Skoda at #2. Dacia is strong in 6th place and 5,3% share. In the models ranking, after two consecutive months of Suzuki Vitara domination, the Skoda Octavia reclaims the top spot it also holds year-to-date thanks to strong sales at 7.3% share, knocking the Vitara down to #2 with the renewed Opel Astra rounding up the podium as it does year-to-date. The VW Passat shoots up five spots on last month to a stunning 4th place, now ranking #8 year-to-date. Notice also the Fiat 500 up 7 to #6, the Nissan Qashqai up 6 to #10 and the Skoda Fabia scoring a rare Hungarian Top 10 ranking at #9.
