The Chilean new car market is still evolving a notch below last year with October sales down 10% year-on-year to 22.887 registrations, pulling the year-to-date total down 18% to 228.670 units. After Kia took the lead last month, Hyundai jumps two spots to #1 thanks to 2.353 sales and 10.3% share, edging past sister company Kia at 2.306 and 10.1%. Chevrolet, #1 year-to-date, is down two spots to #4 and just 8.1% share vs. 11.8% year-to-date. Nissan leaps three ranks to #3, Toyota stays 5th and Suzuki is down two to #6. Chinese manufacturers, led by Chery (#16), hold a strong 9.3% market share vs. 8.5% so far in 2015.
