Turkey February 2015: Fiat Linea and Ford Courier on top

The Turkish new light vehicle market takes off in February: up 63% on a year ago to 57,246 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 89,946 deliveries, up 33% on 2014. Volkswagen stays on top of the brands ranking thanks to sales up 76% to 9,517 and 16.6% share, ahead of Ford up a spectacular 132% to 13.1% share, Fiat up 55% to 11% and Renault up 15% to 10.2%. Further down, notice Dacia and Hyundai up 52%, Mercedes up 69%, Toyota up 104%, Peugeot up 144%, Skoda up 242%, BMW up 360% and Jeep up 806% – some outstanding growth rates right there.

Toppled at the last minute by the Renault Fluence for the FY2014 pole position, the Fiat Linea takes its revenge this month by leading the models ranking thanks to 2,412 sales and 4.2% share, a score that also earns it the year-to-date #1 spot with 3,923 deliveries. The Ford Courier shines in 2nd place with 3.9% share, ahead of the Toyota Corolla up 6 spots to #3, the Ford Transit up two to #4 and the VW Passat, leader last month but down to a still very respectable 5th place in February vs. #14 over the FY2014. Notice also the Ford Focus up to #6, VW Golf up to #7, Renault Megane up to #16 and Audi A3 up to #23.
