New car sales in Kazakhstan have clearly not exhausted their growth potential yet, up another 58% year-on-year in November to 16,898 registrations. This brings the year-to-date total to a record 150,064 units, up 74% from the 86,153 achieved at the same time last year which was already an all-time record! Bumper times in Kazakhstan indeed. This month Lada manages what it cannot do anymore at home in Russia: monopolising the podium. It places the Priora in the lead with 2,099 sales and 12.4% share, ahead of the Samara at 1,420 and 8.4% and the Granta at 1,016 and 6%. The Uz-Daewoo Nexia is down one spot to #4 while the Hyundai Accent remains #5 and the Lada Largus is up one rank to #7.
But the biggest event in the Kazakh models ranking this month is potentially the landing of the Skoda Rapid inside the Top 10 most popular cars for the first time at #10 with 413 sales and 2.4% just below the Renault Duster which achieves a second month in a row in the Top 10 at #9. Other great performers in November include the Chevrolet Niva up 7 ranks to #13, the Kia Sportage up 8 to #16, the Lada Kalina back into the Top 30 at #22 thanks to the new generation of the model, the Iveco Daily V at #26, Chevrolet Aveo at #27 and Toyota Highlander at #28.
