Hong Kong (China) May 2013: Toyota Hiace and VW Golf on top

3,618 new vehicles found a buyer in Hong Kong in May, adding up to 19,124 so far in 2013. The Toyota Hiace is the most popular model on the territory for the 2nd month in a row and the 4th time in the last 12 months thanks to 161 sales and 4.4% share, it is however still #2 year-to-date in 2013 at 798 units and 4.2%, behind the BMW 5 Series (back up to #7 this month) with 872 sales and 4.6%. Outstanding hold of the VW Golf which manages to maintain itself inside the Hong Kong podium for the third consecutive month at #2 with 135 units and 3.7%. The Toyota Corolla brilliantly rounds up the podium, up 5 spots on last month to #3 at 3.2% share.

The Lexus RX also impresses, down just 2 ranks on an outstanding month of April to #4 at 3% share, while the Mercedes ML-Class is up a whopping 37 spots to #5 at 3%, the VW Polo is up 26 to #6, the Toyota Alphard up 4 to #10, Nissan Elgrand up 15 to #11, Audi A6 up a huge 80 ranks to #19 and the VW Scirocco is up 37 to #20…
