Excellent hold of the Belgian new car market in February given the overall depressed context the European market has fallen into: up 4% year-on-year to 45,400 registrations. Volkswagen reclaims the brands pole position both for the month with 4,388 sales and 9.7% and year-to-date at 8,852 units and 9.2%. Strangely, after being turned upside down last month the year-to-date brands ranking falls back on its feet with the Top 4 identical to the Full Year 2012 ladder: Renault falls down to #4 in February which earns it a 2nd spot YTD, Peugeot is up to #3 in both rankings and Citroen is up 3 spots to #2 to land at #4 year-to-date…
BMW sales are up 50% year-on-year in Belgium in February.
The big gainers are the usual suspects: premium, low-cost or Korean! BMW is up a huge 50% year-on-year to #6, Audi up 13% to #7, Mercedes up 37% to #8, Hyundai up 40% to #9, Dacia up 47% to #15 and Kia up 20% to #16.
