It’s a shy start of the year for new car sales in Bulgaria with only 1,557 new vehicles estimated to have found a home in January. Volkswagen with 243 sales and 15.6% and Peugeot at 156 units and 10% are the winners this month while Great Wall, #2 in December, falls to #20 with only 16 sales as the Great Wall Steed, #1 last month, does not sell a single unit this month. This could be due to a break in the local factory production. If you have access to any explanation for this please do comment on this article so we can all know what’s happened!
The Dacia Logan MCV stays on top thanks to 76 units sold and 4.9%, and this month the Peugeot Partner brilliantly jumps into second place (vs. #28 in December) with 67 sales and 4.3% with the VW Caddy rounding up the podium once again at 52 units and 3.3%. The Kia Sportage is back up to its traditional 4th spot, the Opel Astra is up 14 ranks to #5 and the the VW Passat up 39 to #7. Further down, notice the Peugeot Bipper up 145 to #10, Ford Transit up 39 to #11, Peugeot 301 up 24 to #36 and Citroen C-Elysee up 111 to #47.
