Taiwan July 2012: Toyota Corolla at 12%, 4 Toyotas in Top 4

Taiwanese new car sales are up a comfortable 6% year-on-year in July to 40,840 registrations, and it’s Toyota’s month: the Japanese carmaker places 4 models in the Top 4 and 6 in the Top 8 for the first time since last April. The Toyota Corolla leads the way for the 14th consecutive month with 4,903 sales and 12% share, its highest in the country since the 14.2% it reached last November. The Toyota Camry is up one spot to #2 at 2,013 units and 4.9%, ahead of the Toyota Wish at 4.7% and the Toyota Yaris at 4.1%.

Mazda5

The Nissan Tiida is down 3 spots to #5, followed by the Nissan Livina (-5) and Toyota Vios (+9). Excellent hold for the Toyota RAV4 at #8 and the Honda CR-V at #9 (+6) now in runout mode before the arrival of the new generation of the model. Other great performers this month include the Mazda5 up 9 spots on June to #13 and the Ford Escape back in the Top 25 at #18.
