After being down 29% in January and 25% in February, the Turkish new car market slows down its fall slightly this month at -13% and 47,270 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 97,536 units, down 21% on 2011. And this month the Fiat Linea takes total command of the models ranking, reaching the #1 spot both in April with 2,857 sales and 6% and year-to-date at 5,797 units and 5.9%. This domination could well be even more reinforced by the arrival of the facelifted version (pictured) in the next few months…
In both ranking the Renault Symbol is #2 followed by the Fluence. Great performers this month include the Opel Corsa up 12 spots on February to #4, the Opel Astra up 4 ranks to #5, the Honda Civic landing in 8th place while previous months’ data was not available and the Toyota Auris up 9 spots to #14. Notice also the Citroen C4 and Chevrolet Aveo both breaking into the Top 20 at #19 and #20 respectively.
