Turkey March 2011: Renault Fluence back to #2
In 2011 Turkish consumers have decided to buy way more cars than in 2010. March sales are up 59% at 54,023 units, and the 1st Quarter figure is up 83% year-on-year at 122,895 registrations. The Renault Symbol keeps the hold on the 1st place at 3,025 sales and 5.6% and is also the best selling car in the country over the 1st Quarter at 8,136 units and 6.6%.
The Renault Fluence in up to #2 for the first time in 2011 with 2,558 sales and 4.7%, ahead of the Opel Astra Hatchback at a brilliant 2,260 units and 4.2% share. The Toyota Corolla, Ford Fiesta and Fiat Linea follow, the Honda Civic Sedan is up to #7 and the new generation VW Passat breaks into the Top 10 at #9 with 1,443 sales and 2.7%. Another good performer this month is the Hyundai i20 at #14.
