Iceland 2004-2005: 5 Toyotas in Top 6, Corolla then Yaris #1

Years go by, and Toyota is still omnipresent in Iceland: it places 5 models in the Top 6 both in 2004 and 2005! The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling model in the country in 2004 with 758 units, only two above the Toyota Yaris which takes the lead in 2005, becoming the first (and only to this date) model to sell upwards of 1,000 units in a single year in Iceland with 1,005 sales and 4.8%, up 33% on 2004. The Toyota Land Cruiser is #3 both years, gaining no less than 53% in 2005 while the Skoda Octavia also stays 4th and is up 50% in 2004.

The Toyota Avensis, #5 in 2004, and RAV4, #6 in 2004, exchange positions in 2005 when they are followed by the Honda CR-V, up to #7 with 538 sales. The Subaru Legacy stays robust at #8 while the VW Golf drops two spots to #9. Notice also the Ford Escape at #9 in 2004 and the Hyundai Tucson at #11 in 2005.
