After 3 consecutive years in pole position, the Ford Focus gives up its crown to the Toyota Corolla, best-seller in Ireland in 2004 with 6,857 sales, up 4% on last year. Granted it is only 148 units above the Ford Focus, #2 this year at 6,709 units (-12%), but still.
The VW Golf maintains itself on the Irish podium and sees its sales improve a very respectable 17% to 6,576 units, not far off the Focus now… The Toyota Avensis stays 4th but is up 25% while the Nissan Almera is still at a very solid 5th place and the Renault Megane is up a massive 68% to #6.
